Practical informationsAccommodation : Accomodation for participants in student residence is covered by the Summer School. Reservation is compulsory and must be done when registering on Azur colloque application.

The Residence Condillac B is located on the university campus in St Martin d’hères. From Grenoble trainstation, take tramway line B (map - schedule) heading to "Gières - Plaine des sports" and get off at "Condillac Universités" stop. When getting out of the tramway, the residence is located on your right hand, it is a red and orange building. To collect your keys, please go to « Accueil Vieux Condillac » (see map). The reception desk is open 24/24 hours and 7/7 days. Present your IDENTITY CARD to collect your room keys.
Residence Ouest 107 rue des Taillées Domaine universitaire 38400 Saint Martin d’Hères Tél : 04 76 82 76 50
The Residence Ouest is located on the university campus in St Martin d’hères. From Grenoble trainstation, take tramway line B (map - schedule) heading to "Gières - Plaine des sports" and get off at "Les Taillées" stop. The residence is located at 200 meters (see map below) : Present your IDENTITY CARD at the reception desk to collect your room keys. The reception desk is open 24/24 hours and 7/7 days.
Please bring with you a power and Ethernet adapters.
Room description : Single room of 9m2 with a bed, a desk, a chair, a cupboard, a shelf and a small fridge. No TV and telephone plug. Bedding including blanket is provided. Pillow, towels, toilet soap, toilet paper are not provided. The residence has no double or shared rooms. Collective toilet and showers on each floor. Collective kitchen on each floor. Kitchen ustensils are not provided. No microwave. No cafeteria.
Access to residence : From Grenoble train station, you can access the residences by tramway in 25/30 minutes. All the residences are between 25/30-minutes far from the summer school venue (Institut Fourier) by tramway. NOTE: If you wish to be housed in a hotel, you will find a list of hotels here or on the website of the Tourism Office. In this case, you need to contact the hotel and arrange your reservation. The payment is at your charge.
Getting to the Institut Fourier From Grenoble train station, tramway B connects to the campus in 20 minutes.

Lunches Lunches of the first 2 weeks will take place in a refectory located on the campus. They are at the charge of the participants. Lunches are to be reserved per week. Reservation is compulsory and must be done when registering on Azur colloque application. Price is roughly 50€ per week. IMPORTANT: No reservation (accommodation and lunches) will be possible once the registration period is closed. Otherwise, you can have snacks in campus cafeterias (sandwich, panini, salad). Payment can be done by cash or by credit card. Lunches of the third week (Buffets) are at the charge of the organizing committee and will be organized in the premises of the Institut Fourier.
Miscellaneous : Weather : Although variable it is usually hot (+/- 90°F; +/- 27°C) with possible thunderstorms at night. Light summer wears suffice, but do not forget rain clothes, sweaters and a pair of hiking shoes (mountains are close to the city)! Bring with you a power and Ethernet adapters. |
